Andy wasn’t usually sure about much, but she was absolutely certain this was the weirdest day of her life as she stood stranded in the middle of a great white room with six strangers. Well, they were mostly strangers. She could have sworn she’d seen the guy with the green eyes before, and maybe that was why he kept staring at her. When a man calling himself the Guardian appeared and said they had come to make their deepest dreams come true, they embark on an adventure none of them ever imagined, and the consequences of their actions would change them forever.
“John Dreamer” is the first in a series of books set in the confines of the Great White Room.
This week’s review is a true “Five Minute Review.” Enjoy!
John dreamer follows a girl, named Andy, who finds herself in a great white room where she is met with an array of colorful characters. One character, John, seems to share a connection with Andy that Andy doesn’t quite seem to understand. The book continues as a group of strangers discover the secrets of the white room and try to find a way out. Through the process Andy finds herself coming face to face with a moment from her childhood.
I don’t want to spoil you on this title so I won’t give any other plot-related information about the book. I requested this title from Net Galley back in 2014 but never got around to reading it. I liked the premise of the book but was sadly disappointed with the novel. I had hoped there would be some grand plot twist that would change my view of this title but I found I was able to see every plot twist coming. Along with the foreseeable plot twists and insta-love between the two main characters I gave this book a low rating.
