Why Do I Want to Read It?

I purchased Cinder after seeing book bloggers and booktubers rave about the quality of Meyer’s writing. I was so excited to read a high quality piece of art and about a twisted fairytale.

I don’t know why I never started it. It sat on my shelf for several months before I even cracked open the cover to read the first few pages. It was starting to become fall so I thought I would try to get into a darker/fantasy novel but I lost interest four sentences in and never picked it back up again to try.

Since then I’ve had it on several read-a-thon and monthly TBRs but I never really gave it a chance, replacing my choice halfway through the read-a-thon or month.

As much as I want to give this book a shot I don’t know if I ever will. I have high expectations and don’t want to be let down. Plus, I own the entire series minus Winter… so I really NEED to like it.
